Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
Frothing milk for a cappuccino or ice cream for a tasty float is easy and efficient with this handheld frother from Arcosteel. Speedy and quiet, the unit features a spinning circular head and a sleek handle. Constructed of a sturdy zinc alloy, the versatile tool is comfortable to grip and handsome in appearance. A simple button, controlled by the thumb, automatically engages the head and shuts it off when pressure is released. Its simple and mobile design means you can froth in a saucepan or directly in a mug or glass. Cleanup is also simple--just hold the frother head under warm water and rinse. Between uses, the unit stores stably on the included 18/10 satin-finish stainless-steel stand--a bonus piece not included with most frothers. Measuring approximately 8-1/2 inches long, the frother runs on two AA batteries, which are included. --Emily Bedard

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars i actually like this frother   November 6, 2008

I'm about to order my second one of these. first one just died after about 4-5 years of use. My use is for mixing protein shakes, not frothing milk and this one does a good job of mixing up the protein quickly.

I recently purchased the Aerolatte stainless version from Amazon for 22.00 or so and it does a great job of frothing milk for coffeee, much better than this one. I think they have a lower speed or something because the Aerolatte really froths milk well.

The aerolatte though bogs down on mixing protein and i have to go slow where as the Arcosteel I just shove in there and let it do it's thing.

Another review thought the button was too sensitive. After years of use, i noticed the same thing, however, it is easily adjustable (bend the tabs back a bit that touch the battery). what i like about this one also is that the button is on the top, so it's easy to keep in the cup and press the button on the top to get it going, some of the others have button on the side and that is sometimes inconvenient.

I had a Bonjour brand frother that I replaced with this one because it looks better on my kitchen counter. This one works just as well as the Bonjour and froths my milk just fine for a latte at home.

2 out of 5 stars Pretty, but wimpy   January 31, 2006

I purchased a different frother for my MOM for x-mas from amazon. It worked great and I decided I have to by one for myself. I saw this one it looked so sleek and stylish compared to the one I bought my mom. I that thought they are all basically the same. I went for style over funtion.
It doesn't froth well. It's wimpy wire wisk is hard to clean. The button is too sensitive. I am worried the wire wand is going to snap off. It does look realy cool. I love chrome and it does have a chrome body and a chrome all metal holder. It doesn't work well at all. Get a frother on amazon that is not as pretty as this one.
