Braun MR5550CA Multiquick Professional Handblender August 15, 2008 Sandy M. Predmore (Buffalo, NY) Braun MR5550CA Multiquick Professional[[ASIN:B00006I4YF Braun MR5550CA Multiquick Professional Hand Blender, White Handblender]]
I love my Braun Multiquick handblender! I've had four of them, from the smallest to the present 400 watts. I use it practically everyday. The chopper is so handy and the fact that you can take the blender to the stove and chop or puree right in the kettle is very handy. The latest model I have is much easier to clean so I can easily use it again!
excellent handblender! August 6, 2008 Baby's dad (OH) The handblender has delivered as promised. It works through frozen strawberries without any trouble and lets us prepare smoothies very easily and relatively silently. Ditto for hummus. The blender can be used not only in the containers that come in the box, but on any other pan or pot; very flexible! I like the fact that the main wand is dishwasher proof. My only complaint is that the small container is actually too narrow (hard to do smoothies on that!).
Very happy with my new Braun Multiquick Handblender. July 16, 2008 Mary L. Hatcher (Yellville, AR) Great little quick blender. Only problem with it has been the bottom piece of the bowl will not stay attached to the bowl. It is the part that keeps it steady as you blend. It is supposed to snap in place but does not do so very well. Also, the wall hanger is a piece of junk. But the blender itself is GREAT!
Best hand blender! April 22, 2008 staceycat72 (Portland, OR USA) I love this powerful hand blender. It will puree soups in zero time. Great features include easy cleanup in the dishwasher and the traditional blender attachment. I researched many different brands until I settled on the Braun for one major reason: the design of the blade housing. Many brands have small holes around the blade housing to allow liquids to flow through while blending. My previous hand blender had these and they would CLOG every time I used them to blend something fibrous (like butternut squash). I always had to clean out the holes mid-use. The Braun has a nice fluid design that does not clog!
Powerful blender, very versatile April 19, 2008 Charlotte H. Shuler (Bristol, FL USA) I love this blender. I have had mine for about 3 years and never had a moment of trouble with it. I chop cabbage for cole slaw in the larger container and use the mini chop attachment for cutting up a single onion or a few sticks of celery. The blender is wonderful for smoothies, milk shakes, smoothing out lumpy gravy in the skillet, or thickening soup in its own pot. I DO take care of it. That means I chop my frozen strawberries in half before blending them for smoothies. I use chopped ice instead of cubes when I want to blend ice into a drink. I recently bought one for my mother and found that I had to order the mini chop attachment separately--it no longer comes with the blender. For $13.29 it was worth the price for the additional versatility.
