Broke in less than 10 uses... December 29, 2008 Serra (CA USA) Loved all cuisinart products except this one. I can't believe how cheap this one feels and behaved. Broke in less than 10 uses.
Not bad but.. December 26, 2008 Wendy K. 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Mine broke after a couple months. I used it a lot to blend drinks with ice so that was probably what killed it. I wouldn't recommend using it on ice.
much handier than a blender December 24, 2008 T. Byrne I think this is a great little invention. I use it in place of a blender, and mixer. It is easier to clean, just pop off the end and place in water.
Broke after 1 month - stay away December 21, 2008 Peter S. Hamlen (Brooklyn, NY United States) Worked great - for about 1 month. Then part of the plastic internal shaft snapped while whisking whipped cream. So now it's dead and useless.
Be really careful with this model - as you can see from several other reviews, a bunch of them break really, really quickly.
I do not recommend this at all.
Wonderful addition to any cook's kitchen! December 17, 2008 Biblioholic Beth (Portland, Oregon USA) I bought this after having wanted a hand blender for quite some time, and reading a LOT of reviews. It does everything promised, and does it well.
I have used it for mixing up a frothy mocha a lait in the morning, and have also used it for turning sugar into a fine grain....it's a little bit more difficult to make sure that all the sugar is ground, but it works quite well and saved me from breaking out my blender or food processor.
The power is excellent for doing just about anything you would need a hand blender for, and the included cup makes it easy to blend small amounts of liquid together. In fact, using the hand blender in the cup makes a small suction, so that the blender will not come out easily.
All in all, an excellent buy for the price and well worth having. It has become one of my "necessary" tools rather than one of the items that gets put in a dark cupboard, never to be seen again! I keep it out and ready to use...
