Better quality control August 3, 2008 K B Subaru (Bergen County, NJ USA) During the first baking session, the bread pan kept popping out of the seat while in kneeding cycle and I had to reseat the pan, repeatedly. After the session was over and I had a good loaf of bread, after all, I force stretched the pan lengthwise so that the tabs at the sides of the pan engaged the seat-tabs of the baking-well more positively and it is working OK, now. A little better quality control is suggested during the fabrication.
The crust tends to come out "harder" than each of the 3 settings.
Before you purchase read my 2 cents worth July 30, 2008 RoyalG 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
out of 6 loaves i have not made a 'good' one yet... however I ate them all. 2 were so bad there has to be a mistake in the recipes and needed correction before final baking and the others I can only guess. it's retro-deco ugly and difficult to clean the outside surfaces. I was harsh with my rating because it was priced higher than others i was looking at and subsequently disappointed in this brand name.

cuisinart bread machine cbk200
I have not used the bread machine yet. It will be the first time I have ever used a machine to make bread. So I cannot review the machine yet.
I think, even though I clicked on purchasing a *new* machine, I think I received a used one or a returned one, because there were spots on the lip of the machine under the cover.
Too, I have a feeling the machine has been **discontinued** and none of the outlets are telling us because I went online to Cuisinart and it isn't even offered.
My review of the bread machine will come at the end of the week after I use it for the first time.
But, my machine did not come with a manual. Nowhere on Amazon is there a phone number to call a human being about the problem.
The Cuisinart warehouse is 3 miles from us. We called ALL their phone numbers and none of them worked!
Finally, I had gone online and googled where I could download a manual for the bread machine. which I have a feeling has been *discontinued*
and none of the outlets are telling us. Because I went online to Cuisinart and it isn't even offered.
I was low on printer ink and paper. But, I thought that I would have enough to print up a little manual.
Well, that little manual turned into 115 pages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I ran out of ink and paper.
After my husband ran up to Staples' to buy more paper and ink and after printing up the manual, my husband found an 800 phone # quite a few pages in.
It was not an enjoyable experience at all. It was supposed to be an early 44th anniv. gift from my husband...a joyful gift which turned into a horror show.
I have only ever written 3 bad reviews in my life. This is the 3rd. I have always written raves.
I just hope this bread machine turns out to be better than our experience.
This would be the first time I've written a bad review about Amazon.
Material is made of made construction July 21, 2008 G. G. Byroff (Seatle, WA USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
The outside may be made of stainless steel, but the inside interior isn't made of stainless steel(where it counts). Not recommended for baking, poor quality product and overpriced in that regard.
makes great gluten free bread July 15, 2008 A. Wilson (Maine) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am using this bread machine to make gluten free bread and it makes excellent loafs of bread each time. It is very easy to use, just read the instruction manual first and follow the instructions carefully and it makes perfect bread. Based on reviews that I read before I bought this machine I have been setting the machine on light crust each time and it cooks just right. It is very easy to clean. The display is very easy to read. I recommend this bread machine to everyone, gluten free or not.
