Pros and Cons August 8, 2008 Anon. (New York) We've had this panini press over 6 months now. It has performed well and the kids love it. However, I have two pet peeves:
1) There is no on/off switch. Inconvenient. With any appliance that heats up, this could be a safety issue. Also, since ours gets a lot of use, the constant plugging/unplugging has resulted in a loose switchplate in our tiled counter backsplash.
2) It's difficult to clean thoroughly. You can wipe it off after each use, but after a while there IS going to be a buildup of charred grease, crumbs, whatever. Not very healthy.
OH LA LA.. my own panini griddler! July 31, 2008 A. Malone (Los Angeles, CA United States) Can I just tell you how much I love this griddler? It's AWESOME. Plug in and in 3-5 minutes, it's all ready to go. Wait for the green light, open the grill, put your sandwich in and presto, it's ready in a few minutes. It even MELTS the cheese inside. My husband was a little skeptical. He LOVES it. Wipe clean with a towel after it cools and you're done. I got this 4 weeks ago and I've been using it almost everyday. It makes quesadillas super fast. Get this one, it's great!
Love it! July 30, 2008 Dawn in Southbury (Southbury, CT) I LOVE my new panini maker!!! I honestly don't know what I did without this thing in my life. This machine has changed my daily routine for the better! It's super easy to use and super easy to clean. I do wish it had an ON/OFF switch, but other than that I have NO complaints! It has gotten quite the workout since arriving here at my home. We use it for lunch and dinner all the time!! It's a must-have and you've GOT to try ham and brie with honey mustard on a croisant!!
Great product does what is is suposed to do July 17, 2008 Mr. Paul B. Iltchenko (Waterbury, CT) This is a good simple to use product. Heats up realtively fast. Results are consistently good. No frills. None required. Just toast two sandwiches well. Easy to clean non stick surfaces wipe clean.
Love my Panini grill! July 17, 2008 Earline F. Gosney (Danville, VA) I bought this panini grill because my daughter had one when I last visited her. I like mine so much I ordered another one to be shipped to my granddaughter for a housewarming present. It heats up quickly and toasts a sandwich without mashing it flat. I especially like it to make my breakfast toast. It makes a perfect piece of crisp toast.
