Product Description The OXO Good Grips Food Mill is the perfect tool for preparing fresh purees, sauces, soups and more. It has a stainless steel inner bowl to accommodate hot foods and prevent staining and includes 3 stainless steel grinding discs for fine, medium and coarse textures. Use the fine disc for homemade jellies, creamy sauces and baby food, the medium disc for applesauce and vegetable soups and the coarse disc for mashed potatoes and chunkier sauces. The Food Mill has a simple, spring-loaded lever that makes it easy to exchange discs and disassemble for storage. Three non-slip legs hold the Food Mill securely over bowls and pots up to 11 inches in diameter, and fold for easy storage. The soft, non-slip handle and knob make gripping and cranking the Food Mill a comfortable task. All parts are dishwasher-safe. Dimensions - 14.75 x 10.25 x 7.25 inches Weight - 2 pounds

Good Basic Mill October 8, 2008 Taraden B&B (North Bennington, VT) This is a good basic mill, sturdy and easy to clean. It worked very well for processing and canning apple butters of various types.
Great for Seedless Jam October 5, 2008 James R. Gutcher (Seattle, WA USA) We got this to make seedless blackberry jam. Worked great. It is easy to operate and very easy to clean.
oxo food mil September 15, 2008 Rosemary Dancy (VA) This product made my summer so much simpler during tomato harvest. After just a few minutes of cooking the tomatoes on the stove, they went into the food mill with peel and seeds. With minimal effort, I had a wonderful, seedless tomato juice. The food mill is easy to use and an easy clean up. I am lookng forward to trying the food mill on other foods.

I've used this both on apricots and on boysenberries. Works great, doesn't slip, cleans up fairly easily.
nice food mill for the money August 16, 2008 A. Stonner (Central Missouri, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I think this is a good food mill for the money. I looked at a Foley mill and played with it at the store, but just wasn't impressed by how the parts all fit together. Kind of had a grinding feel as the metal grated together rather than a smooth cranking action that the OXO has. The three different grinding plates are very nice. We bought this to make baby food and for making jams and home canning needs. Fits the bill perfectly. Very comfortable to use and would recommend this without reservation. The only reason it didn't get 5 starts is the white plastic coating on the bowl. If that was stainless like the bowl lining, it would be perfect.
