Solid quality August 15, 2008 D. Zvyagin (New Mexico) Very good quality, not like Cuisineart I had before - (broke down after 2 years). If you need a small reliable chopper - go for Krups...
Sturdy, dependable food processor July 20, 2008 Dion Morris (Ozarks, USA) The Krups (Chinese Manufacture) is an elegant solution for a small, strong food processor. I got it to replace a Cuisinart which had imploded a month or so ago.
This small machine is delightful to use and easy to clean. The forcing ribs on the inside of the cup can be a bit tedious to clean with the supplied spatula. I happened to have a narrow spatula which is much for flexible ... problem solved. The same ribs, are an internal structural element, created to strengthen the plastic or acrylic walls of the container - they're not just cosmetic but add a lot to the structural integrity.
So far, I've used to make a few different pesto recipes, several fruit and yogurt smoothies and a few vegetable puree's. Success at all levels!
Conclusion - easy to use, easy to clean, tiny footprint for my small kitchen counters. Potential Con ... The well designed top gasket 'may' need to be replaced in a few years. I've had other mixers that had similar sealing methods and they hardened up after a few years. But - I was living in a very hot and dry desert at that time, maybe the compound has changed. My living circumstances certainly have.
I haven't tried the Mayo / whip cream whipper - do, yet ...
At last, a mini-chopper that chops! April 4, 2008 Ernest Gilbert (Croton Falls, New York United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Krups GVA242 24-Ounce Mini Chopper is a wonder. After the frustration of dealing with one or more Cuisanart small capacity choppers, it is a distinct pleasure to use the Krups which chops evenly and quickly thanks to a powerful motor and well-designed blade configuration. I wish the bowl had a smooth contour rather than ridged design used here as it would make emptying the bowl much easier. However, that is a small inconvenience in respect to the superb job this chopper does. Anyone fed up with the uneven clumps provided by the Cuisanart mini choppers should give this Krups chopper a try.
Not as good as expected. March 21, 2008 Susann Baker (St. Hedwig, TX United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this item based on reviews, but was not satisfied with the design or function. I had previously owned a Krups, but could not find the same design. This one is more difficult to operate and I did not like the ridges inside of the bowl which made it more difficult to scrape contents out.
Good for a small kitchen March 3, 2008 chuanha1 I have a very small studio kitchen and didn't want to take up counter space with a full size food processor. This is a pretty good little appliance for cooking or baking for one or for a few friends. The motor is powerful. The bowl is a convenient size. If you bake, it's just big enough to make the dough for a single 10" tart, and it's easy to pulse.
My one complaint is that cleanup could have been made easier. There seem to be an awful lot of little grooves and odd angles for food to catch in the bowl, top, and on the base. This could have been designed better.
