5 out of 5 stars i love this gadget!   September 29, 2008
ANISSA KEARNEY
i saw Guy Fiete use this on his cooking shows and i thought that was a great thing to use if you are juicing alot of lemons or limes. Since I make homemade Limeade and Lemonade, i thought it would be perfect. Since OXO is such a great company for their gadgets, i went and ordered my citrus squeezer. I just love it! Also when my grocery store puts their produce on the reduced shelf...that is when i stock up on the limes and lemons and i go to town!

2 out of 5 stars hard to use   August 26, 2008

I bought this at linens and things a few days ago and was thinking about returning it. I have only used it for lemons, and it is very difficult to squeese and leaves a lot of wasted juice in the lemon. I think it may be more effective for my husband since he has stronger hands.

4 out of 5 stars One BIG advantage with this Squeezer:   August 4, 2008

I mostly squeeze "key" limes - those very small ones. I prefer them for cocktails, and indeed for most things requiring limes.

This squeezer has a feature that enables you to secure a tiny lime in it just about perfectly; it's the only hand squeezer I've seen that can do it.

If you look at the underside of the "top" cup, or "lid" of the squeezer, there's a perfectly round indentation. If you treat that as the bottom of the squeezer and place the lime-half in it face up, then close the basket portion over it, and flip the whole thing over so the basket's on the bottom again, where it belongs, this thing will squeeze that tiny lime like no other.

5 out of 5 stars Wife loves it   January 16, 2008

Bought this for the wife for Christmas. Already used it and she loves it. No complaints. A definite keeper.

5 out of 5 stars STRONG, JUICY SQUEEZER   January 12, 2008
Stephanie Anderson (NAPLES, FL United States)
I love this little gadget. We have a huge Lime tree in our yard that has a bumper crop of limes right now. I use the juice of a whole lime in my iced tea, hot tea, fruit juices; and I juice several to season chicken or fish. This rugged little kitchen helper doesn't get much rest and I am very happy with its performance, especially for the little Amazon price. I destroyed a similar plastic squeezer that I got at a local grocery store, but this one seems to be holding up very well under the pressure.

For best results, I slice both ends off of the citrus to be juiced, then I slice it in half and then place a half in the gadget and squeeze, release, squeeze, release and squeeze again to get most of the juice out. I hardly get any seeds in the juice, which is an extra plus.

Get this one!! The price is right and it probably works as well as the pricier ones. I have been using this one for about a month and so far am very pleased!
