stainless steel whirling dervish August 26, 2008 Stephen Kantrowitz (Madison, WI USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A very well designed and well made product. My wife loves it, and even our 5 year old can help. Variable speeds with helpful guides make switching between fruits a no-brainer.
The Best August 24, 2008 Demetria Thompson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have own this juicer for two months and I am very pleased with the results. It is very easy to use. Reading instructions are simple. The parts are easy to assemble and take apart when it is time to clean. The five speed is a must compared to those of lesser speeds. I can juice all day. Your body will love you for the good nutrients and also you will start feeling great. This juicer is great for kids that don't eat their vegetables. My child never eats vegetables, but he loves to dring juice. Great way to give him all of his vegetables in a cup. This juicer is highly recommended.
Absolutely love it! August 16, 2008 Irina Zlatkina (Baltimore, MD USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my second juicer, first one was by Waring and I remember it being very loud. I used it only couple of times and than got annoyed with it and it spent couple of years on my counter without being used at all. Than we had a fire and Waring was destroyed and I wasn't upset at all. Now acupuncturist suggested for my sick daughter to drink fresh juices everyday. I was petrified. After a lot of research I decided to give Breville Ikon a try. It's been a week now and I absolutely love it! From the moment my 2.5 year old said "Mommy, juice!" to the moment when she actually was drinking fresh apple juice passed only about 1 minute. I keep all my fruits cleaned on the big dish on my counter, I just grabbed 3 small apples and voila! I have to admit that I didn't core them or anything, just threw them in whole - this was faster and easier, because my daughter could change her mind any minute. Now I' using it 4-5 times a day for the whole family and it's really an enjoyable experience. Cleaning is very easy, the machine is not loud and looks just great. Don't look any further!
FABULOUS! August 8, 2008 Chris of Cal (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product really delivers! It is strong, and it makes a delicious, airy juice. almost like a shake. I like to take advantage of summer's bounty and mix peaches, pineapples, nectarines, blueberries, pears, oranges, whatever catches my fancy at the market. We now have FAB juice for breakfast every morning. Watch out! It becomes an addiction. It is not the most affordable juicer out there but it's worth every penny! Breville exceeded my expectations!
Better than the "Juiceman" August 5, 2008 D. Driscoll (Kihei, HI, USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you are like me and wondered which juicer to buy...look no further than this juicer. I spent many hours researching. I already own a juiceman and can tell you that the Breville is a much better product. Sorry Jack Lalaine. His is ok but there were a few things that bugged me about the juiceman. A couple were obvious right away and then others after I got the Breville. First, the pulp on the juiceman tends to shoot out over the top of the container spraying bits of fruits and veggies all over the place. Even when the container is not full. I would have to put a wet paper towel over the top to prevent this. Juice also sprays out of the spout on its way to your glass. I guess both are caused by the air forced out by the spinning of the motor. Its not a huge deal but cleaning both the juicer and my kitchen everytime I juice is kind of a pain in the butt. The juiceman claims that their pulp is the most dry but I have to say that the Breville pulp is more dry meaning more juice in your glass. I love the fact that you can use different speeds for different hardness of fruits and veggies. The motor is more powerful on the Breville. I also like the power cord. It has a hole to put your finger through where you pull it out of the socket. Never seen that before and its pretty neat. As far as cleaning everything, they are pretty much the same as far as parts go. They both have about 5 parts to wash but the breville has the screen and the blade combined into one piece. It also just pulls up out of the juicer rather than having to use a tool everytime as with the Juiceman. The Breville comes with a pretty cool recipe book that gives you a fruit and veggie guide. Everything you need to know about your favorite healthy F & V. Anyway, I am really happy with my Breville variable speed juice extractor. Hope this helps you in your search for the best juicer. My favorite raw veggie juice is carrot(4), tomato(1), beet(1/2), Broccoli(1/2 cup), lime(1/2), ginger(1/2 inch), apple(1) to sweeten. Enjoy!!!
