1 out of 5 stars Nice thought but .....   January 14, 2008

It's basically a box- no frills, NO TURNTABLE, so you constantly have to open it and rotate your food. Our custom built house came with options from the builder and a microwave drawer in the island sounded great. I didn't even think to check for a turntable. That seems like a standard item. The idea of a microwave drawer built-in to the island was great. If I were you I'd wait until the next generation when prices come down and features improve.

5 out of 5 stars Very Impressed...   March 6, 2007

Although the price is high for a microwave, the drawer feature is well worth it. The ability to reach into a drawer and extract a plate of hot food or a hot beverage really is a plus. The controls are simple but effective. Sensor Reheat works very well and the display is bright, well contrasted, and very visible. This is a good microwave if you have older children that are able to use the microwave but you still worry about spills from the awkward reach into the conventional microwave. If you are elderly this would be a great microwave for the same reasons. I built my own kitchen cabinets so the installation was very simple; just slide it in, four screws, and you're in business. This would be a tough task if you were not remodeling or building a new kitchen. I did like the manual drawer vs. the push button one. The manual drawer opens very easily and there's not much danger of spilling things from the motion of the slides. The push button version on display at the store was already broken. I imagine that people who did not understand that the button needed to be pushed would just yank on the door and damage the motor or pinion gears. Taking this unit in for repair would be a task since it weighs about 80 lb. All in all this is a very nice looking unit and several guest have commented that they like the idea of getting the microwave off of the counter. Everyone that has used the microwave commented on how easy it was to operate.
