Switch seems to have shorted out August 8, 2008

Used for about 3 years...the oven turns on and stays on as soon as it is plugged in. Seems like the switch connected to the timer is shorted.
Could easily start a fire ..we were lucky to be standing close to it and heard that it stayed on after the timer went to 0:00
Dangerous mode for a oven to fail. Would not buy a Goldstar product again.

This is the worst piece of junk I have ever bought. Nearly burnt my kitchen out, if I hadn't been in the adjoining room and heard a change in noise coming from it, I really don't like to think what would have happened. I hear the noise, I wander into the kitchen and see sparks and small flames coming out of the right side of the vent at the top of the microwave. I immediately open the door to cut the power draw and then yank the power cord. Further investigation shows that the power supply has burnt out, literally. 1 month to the day out of warranty, I will not be buying any appliances from Goldstar again ever...
