Followed directions (i.e. the whisk stays out of the dishwasher, observe speeds limits depending on which beater is attached, etc). And wound up a year later with no problems at all.
And it looked almost perfectly new, we got the all metallic/stainless finish of the same mixer right here at Amazon. Since we wanted to run the pasta roller/cutter accessories we got this heavier duty model to keep it easy on the motor.
Worked out great, doesn't lug down the motor as much as lighter Kitchenaids probably would. Basically what we have here is a special rebuilt model that cheaper, stronger, and heavier than usual. But since it's seldom moved off its spot on the counter, weight hasn't been an issue.

I bought this mixer about 6 weeks ago and have used it consistantly since day one. I haven't had one problem. I've made 3 loaves of bread at one time, mixed marshmallows for 15 minutes on high speed, and made double batches of cookies. I was nervous about it only having a six month warranty, but so far, so good. I'll continue to use the heck out of it in this first six months to make sure it isn't going to fail, but it seems extremely reliable and I couldn't be any happier with it. Plus, it's gorgeous! And I love how it looks on my counter!

My best Friend my wife, has been a great cook for many years and until recently did it the ole fashion way.
Well over the last yr or so she has had Rotator cuff surgery twice and needless to say it hampered her cooking skills.

I always wanted a KitchenAid mixer; however the price was prohibitive. I was leery at first to buy a reconditioned KitchenAid mixer; however, once I received mine, I was very happy with it. Arrived in prefect condition--no scratches, dents and operates beautifully. The only recommendation I would make to KitchenAid would be to include a smaller bowl with the mixer along with the larger bowl. I would definitely buy this product again.
