A real smooth operator, KitchenAid's mighty hand mixer uses five speeds of power to blend, beat and knead for culinary creations that are smoother, easier to handle and better tasting. One-year warranty.

1 out of 5 stars mixer   January 1, 2009

Warning about this mixer. I bought a cheap mixer about 2 years ago.Idid not expect it to last long, but it worked for about 2years.I thought I would buy a top of the line next and bought a Kitchen Aide.About the Third time my wife used it the switch had to be mashed three time or to come on. That lasted about two months and it finally quit.Check Amazons rating on this one and buy a different brand.

1 out of 5 stars Junk! Beater broke apart while beating frosting.   December 23, 2008
Amherst Mom (United States)
Before this mixer I had a hand mixer I bought for $10 at Walmart and had it for 8 years, never a problem. I paid over $50.00 for this 13 months ago and at first the beater seemed loose but I didn't think much of it then while mixing frosting the metal prongs on one of the beaters all detached at the same time leaving me with only one side operational to finish my daughter's cupcakes for school. I have never been more unhappy with a product in my life. It is a complete waste of money. The speed is very slow and every once in awhile it just pauses for no reason. Garbage, don't waste your money.

5 out of 5 stars Hand Mixer   November 30, 2008

I am buying this product for a gift for the 3rd time! It is a must have, I recieved one as a wedding gift 13yrs ago, and everyone close to me that marries gets one! I make cakes and also cook for a large family and this mixer can do it ALL!! I never use my large kitchen-aid mixer, I think the hand held is better and less mess! I highly recommend this mixer- and this price is half of the same thing in stores.

1 out of 5 stars turned on for one minute & then it was broken   October 3, 2008

I have liked Kitchen Aid product so I bought this 5 speed model. Got it and opened the box. I was going to throw the packaging away, but then thought I should turn it on to make sure it works. The beaters turned, it changed speeds, so I slid the switch to OFF and the plastic knob broke off the switch. I check the construction and you could not have molded that plastic part thinner or cheaper. The $50 mixer is junk because of a 5 cent part. They should have spent 8 cents and it would not have broken. Nice job Kitchen Aid.

1 out of 5 stars Extremely Disappointed   September 3, 2008

I received this hand mixer as a gift. I was thrilled to toss out my old hamilton beach 9.99er. Boy, I wish I hadn't. My old mixer lasted, like 10 years... I thought this would be the same quality as my Kitchen Aid stand mixer. Not even close. My cheap hand mixer was superior to this one.Don't waste your money. Low power, and after only 5 uses, the beater came apart while mixing egg whites! Couldn't imagine it would handle cookie dough. BIG disappointment. Called their hotline, but since it was 1 year, 1 month old, I'd have to pay 15$ plus another 7 for shipping! I might as well buy a new mixer.
