I recently purchased this side by side refrigerator from a local appliance store. Although I did not feel a side by side would be ideal for my needs, it was a clearance item due to some very minor nicks which made it a steal. I bought white and love the exterior paint as it doesn't show any fingerprints, marks, etc. As I previously owned a 22 CF freezer on top Hotpoint, it gave me tremendous space for my large pans of lasagna, turkey, hams, roasts, watermelon, etc. Well, that pleasure is now gone. I enjoy cooking so I have lots of leftovers. Now I have to curtail my cooking and readjust my shopping habits or find myself with groceries I cannot fit in this refrigerator. The freezer is very tight in width but fortunately, the ice bucket was moved to the door in this model which gives more storage space. There is a nice size bin at the bottom as well. The refrigerator side is fine for a small family or someone single or doesn't have many leftovers. You get three shelves which are adjustable and three bins...two of which are very good size. Keep in mind that these shelves are half or less the width of an up and down refrigerator and fill up very quickly. The door holds a good amount of items (tall bottles, wide containers, jars, cans, eggs, cheeses, butter, milk, etc.) If you enjoy cold drinks, ice crushed or cubed, this is a great feature and normally found only on side by sides. But be prepared for a bit of a mess with the crushed ice as it doesn't necessarily all go in the glass. There is a handy night light at the dispenser as well for those late night cold drinks. All in all, it's a beautiful unit and will complement any kitchen. It has many nice features, reputable brand with Energy Star rating. After the initial period of adjustment to a side by side, I may be a content owner. Thank goodness I also own a 15 CF freezer!! Enjoy!!
