I tried getting this to work right but it never worked out June 17, 2008 Jody Bissoon (Jacksonville, FL) I tried getting this to work right but it never worked out. It's in a closet collecting dust at this time. Jody Bissoon
Same as Farberware August 2, 2007 L. Lynn (Elberta, AL United States) I'm quite sure this is the same as the Farberware rice cooker that happens to look almost exactly the same. I've had my Farberware cooker for at almost 10 years and use it once a week on average. I agree with the other complaints (unplug when you're done, else the warmer stays on; need to put a dish towel over the lid to keep it from floating up or spattering starch around the pot; steamer tray is small, but handy; outer layer of rice tends to get overly crispy). However, after 10 years it still looks nice and it still works just as well as it ever did. You can't say this about many kitchen appliances!
Not bad ..but the best too January 4, 2007 Paramahamsa Alamuri (USA) I bought this cooker and we use this cooker twice per day for cooking rice. Only issue with this cooker is, bottom of rice would be over cooked and becomes black. We should disconnect after the it gets into warm mode.
Overall, it is not a bad cooker for rice.
Thanks Rama
didn't meet the expectations January 3, 2007 S. Kanthala (philadelphia, PA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The lid is very light so when the rice is boiling, it kind of floats and the water comes out of the gap and creates a mess on the counter.
rice cooker January 3, 2007 Jacob Johnson (Clinton, NY) Great for cooking rice. Top steamer was an added bonus, but cant fit very much in it. Good for steaming veggies for 1 or 2 people.
