good purchase November 29, 2008 Karen K. Johnson (Portland, OR) We like the size and style of this toaster oven and so far it seems to work well.
Really great toaster oven November 25, 2008 K. E. Rogers (TN) There are times that you need to heat something up but a microwave isn't the best choice. This toaster oven has exceeded our expectations. My wife absolutely loves it. She has made corn bread, cookies, cooked bacon besides the expected toast. The convection part of the oven is great as well as the alternating top & bottom heating elements. It cooks evenly with this method. I highly recommend this item!!
BEST TOASTER OVEN. EVER! November 24, 2008 Natasha Stryker (California) I bought this because it was the only toaster oven with 3 heating fillaments on the top and bottom, all others I looked at only had two. I am SO glad I got this. I am amazed and delighted with the consistant and reliable results of this oven. It is head and shoulders above the Cuisinart toaster oven that it replaced (it has electrical issues) and looks great to boot!
Perfectly toasted cheese sandwiches, great baked casseroles, it fits a pizza, completely even heating, an easy to clean crumb tray, etc. It also has a relativly small footprint for how much space it offeres inside. It comes with toast tongs that I didn't pay much mind too, but we use them ALL the time and haven't had one singed finger removing items. There are MANY positve aspects to this machine. I am recently a convert to the Krups brand, I also have a Krups multi-cooker that we got as a wedding present -- it is AMAZING! I will definitly look at the Krups brand for future apliance purchases.
Love it despite the broken hinge November 24, 2008 Pamela (Chicago) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Yep, absolutely love this oven. Have used it daily for the past 23 months. Cooks better and more efficiently than my gas oven. Hinge broke on the door and I am now keeping it shut with the aid of a bungee cord. Service center said I could pick up the parts and try to figure out how to repair it myself, or leave it with them for a week and pay $41 for them to fix it. Seeing as how I'm unemployed and don't want to be without it for a week, I'm going to see how effective the bungee cord is...then I may try heavy duty magnets to keep the doors shut! Years ago this would have been considered a recall feature. It's sad how quality manufacturing has really gone down the tubes!
Looks great, works bad. November 20, 2008 Jim (Connecticut, USA.) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
The day I got my Krups FBC2 it worked and looked great. I did the 15 minute burn at 450 degrees without any problems. The next day when I went to actually use it, the digital display was cut in half and showing extra numbers. The LOW display was also lit when it should not have been. I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in with the same results. I turned the oven on BAKE and there was a loud buzzing noise. Then the digital display started working correctly after a while, but the buzzing noise continued. I am returning it for a refund and will try to buy something Made in the USA.
