krups toaster December 16, 2008 J. Foppe (Silex Mo.) It did not take long at all to get the toaster. It works very well, and I really like it.
Looks great, works well! November 7, 2008 A. Pickard (Gulf Coast) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this because of CR ratings and appearance. It is very attractive; looks either modern or retro. Toasting level settings show the length of each setting and digitally displays countdown. Defrost works well. I especially like the compact size. Opening are not real long, but still fits my pitas. Definite 5 for me!
very attractive and toasts nicely March 26, 2008 --pat (around) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
OK, the slots are a bit small. I cut larger slices in half. I dropped it only one star for the small slots. It serves my needs just fine most of the time, and I'm willing to sacrifice slot size for overall toaster size, so it fits on the storage shelf I have available.
I was surprised at how nice the finish is on the body of the appliance.
Slots not big enough February 24, 2008 Jevid (California) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ordered this one, but ended up returning it. The slots are not wide enough for most "whole grain" type sandwich bread, which tends to have bigger slices. As an example, if you by Milton's bread, sorry, it won't work. The only way you'll get it in is to trim off the edges. Even if you try to put it in with the short side first, it doesn't work that well; too much of the bread sticks out of the top & you end up with an inch or so that is un-toasted. I returned the Krups and got the Breville instead.

I received this as a gift and I can't say enough about it! It has a sleek design that looks great with the rest of my stainless kitchen and the blue LED readout gives it a futuristic and modern look. I like the countdown timer, eliminates the "jack-in-the-box" suprise of other toasters. Very sturdy and rugged feel to it. Highly recommended!
