Makes great waffles. Sandwiches must be quartered, as the sandwich plates are not flat. Very easy to clean..plates are removable and dishwasher safe. Only gripe is the owners manual refers to "buttons" which must be pushed to release the plates. There are no buttons at all, but rather black tabs that must be pulled outwards (bottom plate) or pushed upwards (top) to release the plates. Well worth the money.
